Accounting Supervisor
Kluane Drilling & H.Coyne and Sons Ltd. is a long is seeking an Accounting Supervisor with experience in industry to assist the Accounting Manager, oversees the day-to-day operations of an accounting department, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations, also supervise and train accounting staff, analyze financial data, and participate in budgeting and forecasting.
Located in Whitehorse, Yukon
Permanent employment - Full time
Annual Salary: 75k-80k or depends on the experience.

Experience: Minimum five years' experience in accounting/finance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
Accounting certifications, such as CMA or CPA, can be beneficial.

Responsibilities include:
• Establish work schedules and procedures
• Oversee daily transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger and bank reconciliations
• Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
• Ensure accuracy of financial transactions
• Ensure adherence to accounting standards, laws, and regulations.
• Co-ordinate, assign and review work
• Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments
• Examine and verify accuracy of work and authorize routine deposits and withdrawals
• Supervise and train other staff in procedures and in use of current software
Requirements include:
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
• Ability to analyze financial data and identify trends and problems.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team of accountants.
• Ability to identify and resolve accounting issues.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
