The Ranch Retreat Ltd. is a beautiful ranch located 30 minutes from Kamloops. The ranch specializes in handling animals and has an equestrian center. The ranch sits on 160 acres of land, including a day lodge, 2 cabins, a bunkhouse, and the main house surrounded by a peaceful and serene atmosphere. The ranch is well-equipped to handle different animals, including livestock, poultry, and horses. With the combination of animal handling expertise and the equestrian center, the ranch offers other activities, including horseback riding, fishing, and hiking. It is a unique and fulfilling experience for visitors and workers alike. We are seeking two full-time Ranch Workers to come and work with us.

FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
Duties include but are not limited to:
• Feed and tend livestock, poultry, and other animals.
• Milk animals such as cows and goats, manually or with a machine
• Sort, brand, and handle animals
• Maintain or assist in the maintenance of facilities and farm infrastructure including cleaning stables, barns, barnyards, mowing, weed control, snow plowing, and pens.
• Assist with breeding activities.
• Veterinary experience in animal care and feeding (chickens, dogs, horses, cows).
• May monitor the health of animals and provide care.
• May prepare animals for transportation.
• May prepare some cooking.
• May operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
• No degree, certificate, or diploma.
• Minimum 1 year of experience
• On-the-job training may be provided.

JOB DETAILS:

• Work Setting: 102 - 1339 McGill Rd, Kamloops BC V2C 6K7, Canada.
• Location: Kamloops, BC.
• Terms of Employment: Full-Time, Long-Term.
• Hours of work & Schedule: The schedule and hours will vary depending on the time of year.
Flexibility to work overtime, evenings, and/or weekends if required.
• Wages: $18.50 per hour
• Overtime: One and one-half times the regular wage rate as per provincial regulations.
