The Head of Game Economy (NOC 00014) is an executive leader responsible for overseeing the economic strategy of the company’s game portfolio. This role ensures that game economies align with business objectives, optimizing long-term player engagement and monetization. By providing strategic leadership and collaborating across departments, the Head of Game Economy drives innovation in economic design, establishes best practices, and ensures the successful integration of economic considerations into overall game and company strategy.

Your role:
• Providing executive leadership over the economic design of the company’s game portfolio, ensuring alignment with broader corporate objectives and long-term business strategy.
• Leading and mentoring the Game and Economy Design team as a senior departmental leader and setting strategic direction.
• Defining and implementing economic strategies for individual games and the portfolio as a whole,
• Collaborating with BI and UA teams to optimize game economies based on data-driven insights.
• Analyzing, tuning, and improving in-game economies, including setting pricing strategies and balancing virtual currencies.
• Establishing and maintaining best practices for economic modelling, tuning, impact measurement, and monitoring.
• Partnering with our game teams to integrate new features into existing economies and prioritize high-impact opportunities.
• Mentoring team members across the company, in economic analysis, modelling, and execution of well-balanced game economies;
• Conducting and overseeing market research at an organizational level to identify trends and benchmarks, applying these insights to improve economic designs;
• Contributing to corporate-level strategic planning and decision-making processes, ensuring that economic considerations are integrated into the company’s overall roadmap and business objectives; and
• Other executive responsibilities as required by organizational needs.
Terms of Employment:
● Salary: $90.38/hour
● Permanent, Full Time/ 40.00 Hours per week.
● Start date: As soon as possible
● Location of Employment: 131 Torresdale Avenue, North York, ON, M2R 3T1
Your profile:
● At least 10 years of experience in the games industry, with a minimum of 3 years in a senior management role.
● A master's degree or above;
● Proven experience in leading game economy design & live operations in a top grossing company.
● Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate business goals into effective economic systems.
● Proven experience in building, coaching, and mentoring high-performing teams.
● Self-starter, experienced in managing own tasks from concept through completion.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fluent in English.
● Passionate about games and player engagement.
