Requirements :

; Completion of Secondary School required

Completion apprenticeship program in the same trade

OR

1 year of work experience in the automotive painter trade, High school, college or industry courses in automotive painter trade is usually required to be eligible for trade certification.

Job Duties:

·         File, grind and sand repaired body surfaces using hand and power tools
·         Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting
·         Mix paint, blend and match colors
·         Apply primers and repaint surfaces using brush or spray guns
·         Cross check the paint work done
·         Make estimate of repair cost reports after reviewing damage,
·         Plan paint work to be done after reviewing vehicle.
