Duties and Responsibilities:
Initial assessment and estimate costs for paint and parts;
Advice client of timeframe and any necessary pre- and post-production care;
Determine correct blend of paint to match the damaged part of the vehicle, or if necessary, work with client to finalize paint colour;
Determine project sequence to ensure replacement and positioning of materials correspond with placement of other parts;
Remove tires and rims and other parts and cut openings of affected sections
Prepare areas by filing and smoothing filled and repaired surfaces;
Conduct painting and to ensure that all surfaces are covered accordingly;
Adjust and align all parts before securing all body parts for post-care procedures;
Inspect vehicles before handing back to owners;
May train new workers, if needed
Requirements:
5 years or more of hands-on experience in automotive paint, with extensive experience in car restoration, overhauls, and paint protection film
Completion of secondary school or its equivalent
Post-secondary training diploma or certificate (in the relevant field such as automotive painting) is an asset
Good English language skills
Skills/Qualifications:
Ability to problem solve and pay close attention to detail;
Ability to take direction and complete tasks as assigned;
Work within a team environment that consists of personnel of varying professional background.
Compensation and Conditions:
$26.22 per hour,
Permanent position;
30-40 hour work week;
Location of company’s head office: 110 Connaught Ave unit 3, Aurora, ON L4G 7R5
