Trained Wild Carpentry is seeking a skilled Cabinetmaker to join our team. The position primarily involves the installation, fitting, adjustment, and modification of custom cabinetry and architectural millwork at residential and commercial project sites throughout the Lower Mainland. The successful candidate will work with cabinetry components to ensure proper alignment, functionality, and finishing in accordance with project drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
• ⁠ Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, specifications, and work orders to determine project requirements.
• ⁠Measure, mark, and prepare wood, laminates, veneers, and related materials for cabinet and millwork fabrication.
• ⁠Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools to cut, shape, trim, and fabricate cabinet and millwork components.
• Assemble custom cabinetry, built-in units, shelving, vanities, and architectural millwork using woodworking techniques, adhesives, fasteners, and hardware.
• Sand, finish, and prepare cabinetry and millwork to meet project specifications and quality standards.
• ⁠Inspect fabricated components to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with design requirements.
• ⁠Measure installation areas and verify site dimensions to ensure proper fit and alignment of cabinetry and millwork products.
• ⁠Install custom cabinetry, built-in furniture, vanities, wall units, and architectural millwork at residential and commercial project sites.
• Modify, trim, fit, and adjust cabinet and millwork components on-site to accommodate field conditions and achieve precise installation.
• Secure cabinetry and millwork products using appropriate hardware, fasteners, and installation methods.
• Repair, refinish, or modify existing cabinetry, fixtures, and millwork products as required during renovation and restoration projects.
• Maintain woodworking equipment and tools and keep the work environment clean and safe in accordance with workplace safety procedures.

Requirements:
• Secondary school completion is required.
• 7-12 months experience in trades is required.
• The ability to read and interpret shop drawings and installation plans is an asset.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform precise measurements and adjustments are an asset.
