DORA Construction is currently seeking an experienced PROJECT MANAGER to help the company explore Asian market. The Project Manager is DORA Construction’s designated representative to the Client and will provide experienced leadership in the construction and/or renovation of Commercial or Institutional projects. The Project Manager has overall responsibility for the project; to ensure that the work is performed as per the contract documents and that the project is completed efficiently and profitably with top quality results.
The Project Manager will report directly to the owners of DORA Construction Limited and will be responsible to:
Establish strong working relationship with current and prospective Chinese clients, superintendents, consultants, inspectors, subcontractors, suppliers and DORA’s labour force.
Prepare a cost effective plan and schedule for the successful completion of the project, providing updates and recommendations/solutions as necessary to ensure that the project remains efficient.
Ensure all aspects of assigned projects from startup to final warranty inspection sign-off are managed in a professional and cost effective manner.
Assist and review project estimate and ensure project budget, schedule and quality control is maintained at all times. This will include monitoring of project budget and regular cost projection reviews.
Procure subcontractors and suppliers. This includes negotiating price and ensuring scope of work is outlined.
Review shop drawings, material samples and project submittals for compliance to project and contract specifications.
Coordinating with General Superintendent and the Site Superintendent the site labour requirements.
Maintain accurate project paper flow, including the preparation and review of cost reports, change orders and client billing.
The Project Manager we are looking for will possess:
a passion for the commercial construction industry
a minimum of 5 years experience in the construction industry with a minimum of 3 years as a Project Manager in the Commercial construction industry.
a high degree of integrity, ethics and standards of performance
excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
Experience in delivering results in a fast paced, growing, team and goal oriented environment
An Engineering Degree / Construction Administration Technology program completion or a combination of education and industry experience preferred.
Speak both English and Mandarin
Job Type: Full-time 40-48 hours per week
