The company is a supplier of specialized building and coating materials, especially energy-efficient products, home additions and outdoor structures. East Coast Cedar Homes is also an authorized dealer of Lindal Cedar Homes; the world’s largest manufacturer of prefab post and beam homes made of quality materials and specialized in custom homes built with an efficient and predictable kit of parts that can be shipped anywhere in the world. Finally, East Coast Cedar Homes is a dealer of cedar saunas, hot tubs, pools and enclosures, that can be shipped as a kit anywhere in the world.
The Company is ready to open subsidiary branches overseas and to appoint authorized agents. The role of these subsidiaries/agents will be to market and sell the products and services of the Company in the target markets. The Company is also considering to have assembly/manufacturing facilities in the target markets to increase the competitiveness and decrease the shipping costs and custom duties of its exported products in the target markets.
The Company is seeking to hire a senior manager to serve as Vice President of Finance. In their role, the VP is to lead, monitor, coordinate and execute all the activities related to managing the company’s current and new expansion plans and investments, both locally and in the international markets. The VP will be responsible for supporting the strategic development, financially planning and budgeting of all human resources of the subsidiaries, agents, marketing and sales departments, both locally and internationally.
The position’s responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following: establish the investment and marketing feasibility studies and financial modeling for the company’s expansion plans, especially of the retrofitting projects and opening new subsidiaries; prepare the financial package and projected expenses and revenues for the company’s appointed agents, prepare the inventory budget and negotiate its financial burdens’ sharing between the suppliers, the company and the agents; provide strategic guidance of capital financing options to support company growth needs; arrange finance of the current and expansion plans with banks and other lending financial institutions and coordinate all relationships with them; implement and maintain objectives and performance monitoring processes and reporting for the company; allocate material, human and financial resources to implement company policies; detailed monthly analyses and reporting related to expansion and investment; benchmark performance with the business plan, industrial best practices, and establish annual financial budgets and financial controls. The applicant will drive alignment among the companies’ departments, subsidiaries and agents to meet Company’s current and expansion objectives, lead and guide subordinates by providing them with guidance and required growth opportunities; lead discussions of investment; sand recommend areas for improvement and costs saving.
Position Requirements
The successful candidate will have at least 3 years’ experience of policy-level senior managerial experience in a multinational organization and 5 years’ experience in senior financial positions. The successful candidate will show a mastery of chartered accounting principles, corporate finance, and business performance measurement.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree at a minimum (accounting, commerce, finance or a relevant field.) He/she will have at least 3 years’ managerial experience at a construction-focussed firm. He/she will have a proven track record of successful negotiations with banks and other financial institutions to get required financing facilities. He/she will have an experience of bidding and tendering process.
