Position Tutoring School Manager

Victoria Education Group provides accelerative tutoring programs in academic subjects such as Math, Science, English, French, etc. In addition, we also provide interest classes such as piano, drawing, abacus, etc. In tutoring with us, students are paired with specialized tutors and provided with pivotal resources that simply cannot be found elsewhere. This in turn leads our students to have a true appreciation and understanding of learning. We are now seeking a Tutoring School Manager to lead our business to a new era. This is a permanent job position reporting directly to the President of the business.

• Establish or implement policies and procedures for staff
• Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations for kindergarten, elementary and secondary level tutoring services and interest classes
• Establish and execute the yearly plan for the tutorial operation and interest classes
• Create sales promotion strategies and provide training for counselors
• Interview and hire tutors and counselors
• Develop and organize workshops and events for information purpose
• Prepare brochures, reports, and other materials for marketing purposes
• Manage social media marketing activities to engage followers and increase the awareness of the business
• Address parents’ complaints or concerns
• Plan and control budget and inventory
• Manage contracts for advertising or marketing strategies

• Secondary school diploma or higher
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a management position of tutoring schools or related educational services for minors
• Experience and skills in managing teachers and students
• Experience in handling a budget of more than $100,000 per annum
• Experience in communicating with students between the age of 5 and 18, and their parents
• Commitment and working knowledge to support the school’s president
• The ability to work in a multicultural environment
• Demonstrated ability in hiring, training, and supervising staff
• Good knowledge of Microsoft word processing, spreadsheet, and PowerPoint
• Strong multi-tasking skills and time management skills, with the ability to plan, organize and prioritize a diverse workload to meet high expectations for quality, accuracy, and timeliness
• Excellent attention to detail and client focus
• Willing to work on Saturday and work from 2 pm to 8 pm on weekdays

$36.00 per hour for 30 hours per week

Primary work location: 9901 Leslie Street Richmond Hill, ON L4B 3Y3
Secondary work location: 3603 Hwy 7, Unit 104, Markham, ON L3R 8W3

Permanent full-time; 2 pm to 8 pm from Tuesday to Friday and 9:30 am to 3:30 pm on Saturday
