Position Summary

Sports (Youth Soccer) Coach is responsible for designing and delivering structured youth development programs focused on technical, tactical, and physical skill progression. The role applies age-appropriate coaching methodologies aligned with long-term athlete development (LTPD) principles to support continuous improvement, confidence-building, teamwork, and sportsmanship in youth athletes.

The coach is responsible for planning training sessions, managing match preparation, and conducting player evaluations to support consistent player development. A safe, inclusive, and development-focused training environment is maintained at all times.

As a sports management company operating soccer programs and events across Canada, we seek to recruit a Youth Soccer Coach to design and deliver high-quality youth soccer programs and contribute to player development within the local community

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Assess technical, tactical, and physical performance of youth players and provide feedback to support development
• Design and deliver age-appropriate training sessions aligned with Long-Term Player Development (LTPD) principles
• Plan and conduct training sessions and match preparation activities
• Provide in-game coaching and implement basic game plans during matches
• Support club program delivery, including training schedules, competitions, and youth development activities
• Contribute to seasonal program delivery and events
• Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and coaching staff
• Support a positive, inclusive, and development-focused sporting environment

Academic, Training and Experience Qualifications

• University degree or college diploma in Sports Administration, Physical Education, or a related field is preferred
• Several years (2–3 years) of professional experience in youth soccer coaching, program development, and instruction, along with strong technical knowledge of soccer, are required

Employment Requirements

• Completion of the NCCP (National Coaching Certification Program) or an equivalent internationally recognized coaching certification is required; youth coaching certification is considered an asset
• Demonstrated practical experience and technical knowledge in both general and youth soccer coaching, with the ability to apply age-appropriate training methodologies
• Strong leadership and communication skills to support program planning, coaching coordination, and athlete development
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and maintain high energy and focus during outdoor training sessions
• Strong ability to engage with parents and provide professional guidance on athlete development and progression
• Valid Standard First Aid and CPR certification, along with knowledge of Safe Sport principles and youth safeguarding practices, is required

Wage

• CAD 35.00 per hour for 30-40 hours per week at 52 weeks a year
