The Department of Diagnostic Imaging at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in Toronto, a major pediatric referral center, invites applications from interested, qualified pediatric interventional radiologists for a faculty full-time position in the Division of Image Guided Therapy. The ideal candidate must have an M.D or equivalent, be board-certified and have fellowship and clinical experience in body Pediatric Interventional Radiology and Interventional Oncology. Additional experience with image guided tumor ablation techniques, musculoskeletal interventions, hepato-biliary interventions in liver transplants, vascular anomalies, and MRI-guided Interventions is advantageous. The candidate should be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO). Experience as a Staff Pediatric Interventional Radiologist and a solid research background in Pediatric Interventional Radiology is preferred. The candidate should be collaborative and should be an excellent inter- & intra-disciplinary team player with high professional values. All candidates must be able to function proficiently in English.

The Division of Pediatric Interventional Radiology currently consists of 4 full time pediatric body interventional radiologists, 1 full time pediatric interventional neuroradiologist, and 1 clinical associate in interventional neuroradiology. The Division works collaboratively and closely with pediatricians, oncologists, surgeons, and other disciplines as part of the Centre of Image Guided Care. The Centre of Image Guided Care consists of 5 modern image guided suites, including three single plane and one bi-plane angiography equipment, dedicated high resolution ultrasounds and a 3T Interventional/ Intra-operative MRI.

Faculty appointment at the University of Toronto and salary will be made commensurate with the candidate’s experience and qualifications. An additional incentive is provided for extended and on call hours of work related to complex interventional procedures that the candidate will have to be involved in. The candidate should be eligible for an academic position at the University of Toronto preferably at the rank of Assistant Professor or above.
