Food Service Supervisor

Our hands-on Supervisors oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant in a professional manner. They provide leadership for all staff, ensuring that efficient food service, preparation and presentation consistently exceed guest expectations.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the activities of staff who prepare, portion and serve food
• Estimate and order ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation
• Ensure all opening / closing procedures are completed (shift dependent)
• Prepare and meet the work schedule for the shift
• Maintain knowledge of and actively promote menu, beverages and current promotions
• Receive product delivery and ensure safe, sanitary and secure storage when required
• Ensure team maintains or exceeds guest expectations in a cost-effective manner
• Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
• May participate in the selection of food service staff and assist in the development of policies, procedures and budgets
• Cover team roles / shifts when required
• Apply developed knowledge of tableware and equipment
• Competent in the use and care of kitchen tools and equipment
• Apply basic knowledge of food preparation (in keeping with standardized recipes)
• Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage
• Train staff in job duties, and sanitation and safety procedures
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION
• Smart Serve, Serving It Right
• Secondary School Graduation
ABILITIES, ATTRIBUTES AND EXPERIENCE
• At least 1 - 2 years Food & Beverage experience
• Prior team leadership background preferred
• Outgoing, positive and team orientated
• Willingness and ability to work flexible hours (evenings & weekends)

Salary: CAD$ 21.00 / hour plus standard industry benefits. Please note that this is a full-time permanent position at Odessa Food Market & Pizzeria located at 154 Main St., Odessa, Ontario K0H 2H0
