TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
• Permanent, Full time
• Availability to work in a variety of shifts and at the weekends
SPECIFIC SKILLS
• Assist manager and the senior authorities to complete all the activities related to the operations of the hotel
• Ensuring the establishment works as smoothly as possible
• Supervise the different departments and divisions of the hotel
• Oversee all the events, activities and operations in the hotel
• Make necessary decisions needed to ensure all hotel rules and policies are implemented
• Set goals and plans to promote and improve the service of all the departments
• Handle client’s complaints and compliments
• Assist the hotel manager in ensuring the security of the guests and the entire hotel
• Provide training to the staff of different departments and ensure adherence to the policies
• Ensure effective, timely, and accurate communication flow with regards to hotel policies and procedures
• Ensure hotel staff is provided with uniforms and name tags, and uphold grooming standards
• Monitor maintenance progress and Furniture, Furnishings and Equipment conditions and provide status report to the Manager and other authorities
• Build strong work relationships and communications with hotel staff and other departments to ensure maximum operating effectiveness and fulfilment of special events
ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND PERSONAL SUITABILITY
• A positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
• Customer service oriented
• Experience of motivating and leading team.
• Ability to remain calm whilst under pressure and fast paced environment and prioritize tasks.
• Health regulations, safety standards and departmental and company policies should be followed in the work setup.
EDUCATION
Completion of secondary school is required
EXPERIENCE
2-3 years’ experience within the accommodation industry in required
OR
Relevant education in hotel management or other related discipline may substitute for experience requirements
LANGUAGES
English
