Constantly growing, we are currently looking for an experienced Hotel and Restaurant and Bar Manager to join our team. The perfect candidate will be managing our busy Gatrolounge operations.


The duties are as follows:


  • Work with management in finalizing new dishes and making new liquor mixtures to further expand the restaurant’s famous alcohol menu;

  • Supervise infusion of house flavours and specialty cocktails from start to finish;

  • Assist management in determining seasonal and promotional dishes and drinks based on special events, restaurant and bar promotions, happy hours and nightly specials;

  • Conduct inventory maintenance and management of kitchen products, including liquor and bar supplies;

  • Ensure quality control of prepared dishes and cocktails and upholding beverage standards in accordance with AGCO laws;

  • Oversee and direct purchasing operations of ingredients and liquor including occasional negotiations with suppliers;

  • Manage restaurant and bar personnel, and ensure that standards, policies and procedures are followed;

  • Ensure that all staff are knowledgeable on the health and safety regulations and implementing specific training procedures in accordance with the AGCO laws;

  • Ensure staff take responsibility for keeping track of stock and perform regular stock-takes and kitchen temperature logs;

  • Keep up-to-date with provincial liquor licensing legislation including date of permit renewal;

  • Liaison with kitchen staff, suppliers, and other local businesses;

  • Handle kitchen deliveries, resolving delivery discrepancies and ensuring the restaurant and bar are stocked with proper products before service;

  • Assist management with staff promotion, training and recruitment;

  • Manage all necessary arrangements concerning booked events, including but not limited to:

    • Catering and themed decorations

    • Appropriating work to staff members

    • Post-event clean-up and pick-up of materials



  • Col lege certificate or diploma in Hotel & Restaurant Management (HRM), Hospitality and Accommodation, or in a related field;

  • At least 2 years of experience working as Hotel Restaurant and Bar Operations Manager, with superior understanding and hands-on experience in cocktail culture and infusion of drinks;

  • Experience supervising events such as wedding receptions, parties, and the likes;

  • Proficiency in the English language


Conditions of Employment:                                                      

  • Permanent, Full-time position (35 hours of work per week)

  • $21.00 per hour, overtime rate will apply after 44 hours of work per week

  • Location of employment: 650 Bay Street, Toronto, Ontario, M5G 1M8

  • Occasional travel may be required, all expenses will be paid by the company
