Job Position:
We are currently looking to fill the position of an Information technology (IT) specialist. The ideal candidate will analyze systems requirements and develop and implement information systems solutions.
Job Duties:
• Assess clients’ technological needs and recommend appropriate software solutions and IT strategies tailored to their specific requirements.
• Develop, test, and implement customized software applications and tools using modern frameworks and methodologies.
• Install, configure, and maintain client-side and internal systems, including servers, databases, operating systems, and networking infrastructure.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting services to clients and internal users, resolving software, hardware, and connectivity issues in a timely and efficient manner.
• Monitor system performance and security, implement updates and ensure compliance with privacy regulations and industry best practices.
• Assist in the integration of third-party platforms (e.g., CRM) with custom software to streamline operations and improve user experience.
• Document all IT procedures, configurations, and support activities, ensuring clear and up-to-date records for internal use and client reference.
• Train and support end-users, both in-house and at client organizations, on the use of new and existing systems and software.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks on computer systems.
Employment Requirements:
• At least 2 years of experience in the IT consultancy sector
• Proven experience with:
o Sophos firewalls and access points
o Foxit software
o MS Azure technology
o HPE ARUBA Switches and Access points, Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022, Windows 10, Windows 11
o Good knowledge and experience with VoIP
o Experience with Python/API/Script programming
• Possession of the following qualifications is considered an asset:
o Microsoft Azure Fundamentals
o Microsoft 365 Teams Administrator Associate
o MS-100 Microsoft 365 identity and services
o Windows server 70-740, 741,742
• English proficiency
• Strong time management and multitasking skills, ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision
Conditions of Employment:
• Full-time, permanent position consisting of 30 weekly work hours
• The remuneration will be set at CAD$45.67 per hour
• Occasional overtime may be required for meeting critical deadlines. Overtime pay will apply after 44 hours of work per week and will be remunerated at one and a half times the regular pay rate
