Network Specialist – Computer systems

Description

As Network Specialist – Computer systems, you are responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. You will ensure that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational and security standards, providing technical support and direction.

Primary Responsibilities:
•Manage information technology and computer systems and set up and maintain backup processes, ensuring security of data, network access and backup systems.
•Purchase hardware equipment (computers, mobile devices, networking equipment),
•Manage software licenses and maintain the networking infrastructures for the company.
•Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures
•Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy
•Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time
•Preserve assets, information security and control structures
•Maintain, troubleshoot and administer the use of local area networks, computer workstations, connections to the Internet and peripheral equipment
•Assist with new IT infrastructure in future offices

Requirements:
•Minimum 3 years of work experience regarding network and computer system set up
•Experience working with PC computers and other technologies
•Working knowledge of Windows, macOS, and iOS operating systems
•Strong knowledge of technical management, information analysis and computer hardware/software systems
•Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation
•Experience in systems administration, IT troubleshooting
•Working knowledge of networking infrastructure
•Working knowledge of networking and databases is an advantage
•Recovery Operations
•Fluent in both English and Mandarin is preferable

Job Type: $45,000/year
Location: Dartmouth, NS
