Aztec Structural Restoration is looking for skilled and qualified Heavy Equipment Operators who want to make a career for themselves within the trades. Candidates must have a background of safely driving, maneuvering, and maintaining machinery and equipment to alter landscapes and build infrastructure, such as excavators, bulldozers, and loaders to name a few. Applicants must have a natural aptitude for operating machines, excellent hand eye coordination, possess knowledge of various equipment, are meticulous and pay close attention to detail. Candidates must be motivated, willing to take on dirty, physically and demanding duties. The role requires early mornings, those with physical strength and stamina. Responsibilities/Tasks
Interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications to plan methods or sequences of operation
Operate heavy equipment
Read blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements
Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks
Measure distance, volume, length and weight
Operate computer controlled equipment
Understand the purpose, proper usgage and information found on material safety data sheets (MSDS)
Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment
Prepare accident reports
Secure special attachments to equipment
Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment
Perform minor repairs to equipment

Experience and specialization
Type of heavy equipment operated- Backhoe excavator, loader, Loader, Asphalt spreader, Concrete spreader, Compactor, Concrete pumping equipment, Roller, Operate forklift, Front end loader, Industrial lift trucks and fork-lifts, Bobcats

Type of industry experience- Industrial/commercial/institutional (ICI) construction, Residential construction
