Job Location: Based in Edmonton, the position requires travel to various sites in Alberta. Travel expenses paid by the employer.

Wage: $40.00 to $42.00 / Hour (based on skills and experience/salary increases as per company policy)

Employment terms & conditions: Seasonal, Full-time, 44 to 75 Hours / Week (weather dependent), Overtime, Day, Morning, Evening, Weekend, Night

Experience: 3 years of related experience

Ability to Supervise: 5-10 people

Work Site Environment: Outdoors, Dusty

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, Attention to detail, Overtime required, Handling heavy loads

Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots

Security and safety: Driving record check (abstract)

Transportation/travel information: Willing to travel regularly

Duties:
• Manage the work crew, operators, and equipment, in a profitable and safe manner to meet the commitments of contracts/agreements
• Provide overall on-site leadership on the construction project site
• Train or arrange for training
• Supervise workers (Heavy equipment operators, raker men, other paving crew workers)
• Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity
• Recommend personnel actions
• Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
• Co-ordinate activities
• May perform duties of workers supervised
