Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic (NOC 72401)

is in need of HEAVY-DUTY EQUIPMENT MECHANIC

NOC CODE: 72401

EMPLOYMENT TERMS: Full Time – Permanent

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Inspect trucks, cranes, bulldozers, and other heavy equipment for proper performance
2. Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required
3. Repair or replace defective parts and components on all machinery and equipment using hand tools or power tools
4. Test repairs for proper performance and ensure the work meets manufacturers’ specifications and legislated regulations.
5. Clean, lubricate and conduct routine or scheduled maintenance on heavy-duty vehicles
6. Work in compliance with company’s health and safety policy and commit to ensuring it is followed every day with proper documentation
7. Complete service reports
8. Work independently and collaboratively with other team members to achieve common objectives
9. Report damaged or faulty equipment to management
10. Perform other related duties as required

WORKING HOURS: 40-50 hours/week, 7:00AM – 5:00PM, working hours may vary depending on projects demand, 2 days off on weekend

WAGE/BENEFITS: $42.19/hour; Enrollment to company group health benefits, Life Insurance, AD&D, Critical Illness

WORK LOCATION: NE 30-45 07 W4, Wainwright, Alberta, Canada T9W 1S7

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
1. Education: Completion of secondary education is required; Heavy-duty equipment technician trade certificate is required
2. Work Experience: Minimum 3 years experience is required
3. Valid Class 5 driver’s license is mandatory. Class 1 is considered an asset
4. Must be physical fit and be able to lift 50lbs and above
5. Multi-tasker and ability to work in a team environment
6. Ability to work after-hours if required
7. Good communication skills
