Skill Requirements: Education:
Completion of high school

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.):
Driver's Licence (Class 1 or A), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement

Experience:
Minimum 3 years
Experience in using cranes and handling steel will be an asset
** Candidates without steel experience will spend a minimum of three months working
In the yard learning the processes before driving.

Specific Skills:
Loading and unloading of goods, Pay and receive payments for goods, Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment, Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness, Perform preventive maintenance

Transport raw materials, finished products and equipment, Check and weigh materials and products, Sort, pack, crate and package materials and products, Assist machine operators, assemblers and other workers, Clean work areas and equipment, Perform other labouring and elemental activities

Own Tools/Equipment:
Steel-toed safety boots
