JobScout Staffing is on the hunt for a driven Investor Relations Specialist who will be a key contributor to the success of the Investor Relations program of the organization.
We are seeking a positive individual who can effectively execute on Investor Relations programs as defined by the organization’s executive management.
Over time, this individual will have the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility for the program.
Effectively contribute to all Investor Relations functions including the preparation of presentation materials, first drafts of press releases, filing and distribution of investor communications with wire services and company social media channels, coordination of investor marking events, and communicating with investors;
Contribute to the development and implementation of the Investor Relations strategic plan and processes;
Schedule and organize external corporate communication events;
Deliver on the organization’s strategy to expand the corporate digital presence by managing the corporate social media platforms, develop and maintain social and website content, monitor the website to ensure up to date information, and contribute to the long term strategic investor relations plans;
Coordination of conferences including the organizing of schedules, presentations, and itineraries, as well as arranging travel;
Support the preparation of the annual Investor Relations survey;
Plan and manage shareholder meetings, conference calls, and company participation in trade conferences and bookings;
Identify best practices to consistently improve upon the Investor Relations strategy and stakeholder engagement;
Maintain the Investor Relations relationship management system;
Work closely with other corporate departments;
Various Office Manager duties and responsibilities as required.
Undergraduate Degree in Communications, Business, Finance, Commerce or a related field;
3-5 years of relevant business experience including experience in communications, finance, or marketing;
Experience writing corporate communications, press releases, and creating presentations;
Mining industry experience preferred but not required;
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, and CRM software;
Advanced knowledge of Social Media platforms and content creation including platform postings and advanced SEO. The candidate should also have basic photo and video editing experience;
Ability to confidently interact with all levels of management as well as internal and external;
Exemplary communication skills (oral, written, presentation):
Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects with time constraints;
Dynamic, self-driven, and highly organized;
Able to work in fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy, focus, and poise;
Aptitude for learning new concepts and tools quickly;
Must have the ability to work in the Vancouver corporate office at a minimum of 2-3 days per week with the balance being worked from home. This is not a remote position;
Must be eligible to work in Canada.
