POSITION:
Domoticka is seeking an experienced electronic service technician to maintain, service and repair consumer electronic equipment, to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair faults in electronic equipment, components, and integrated home-automation systems using testing devices, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Install, configure, and calibrate electronic control units, networked devices, sensors, and related hardware according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
• Perform preventive maintenance, functional testing, and quality checks on electronic systems to ensure reliable operation and compliance with technical requirements.
• Replace and upgrade circuit boards, wiring, modules, and other electronic assemblies, ensuring proper integration with existing systems.
• Interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and service manuals to support accurate repairs, installations, and system adjustments.
• Prepare service reports, document diagnostic results, and maintain records of repairs, parts used, and system configurations.
• Provide on-site technical support to clients, including explaining system functions, advising on proper operation, and recommending corrective or preventive measures.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Completion of a college program in electronics or similar field of study.
• Minimum 3 years of confirmed experience.
• Good verbal communication skills
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
• Permanent, full-time position
• $36.50 per hour
• A minimum of 30 hours of work per week
• Overtime pay ($54.75/ hour) applies after 44 hours of work per week
• Location of work: 13 Blackshire Circle, Nepean ON, K2J 5L8, Canada
