Responsibilities
Tasks
• Create a stimulating, nurturing, and safe environment for the child
• May drop the child to the school and school bus and pick them up
• Supervise activities at all times
• Plan, prepare and serve nutritious meals for child.
• Perform housework related to child care, including washing clothes, cleaning up after meals and tidying play areas
• Teach the child good social manners
• Teach the child about personal hygiene
• Organising play opportunities to help child mix with others
• Play with the child, both indoors and outdoors
• Plan and lead educational activities, including reading, with the child
• Discipline the child, when necessary, according to the methods instructed by parents
• Administer medicine to the child as per the instructions of doctor.
• Superintend the child’s activities such as meals and rest periods as instructed by parents

To be a Child Care Provider you should have:

• good imagination to plan activities that are fun and help development
