Chef de Partie-Black + Blue Toronto

Glowbal Restaurant Group is looking to fill the 2 Chef De Partie positions at Black + Blue Toronto (0894546 BC Ltd) @ 130 King Street, Toronto, ON M5X 1J5

KEY RESPONSIBILTIES:
·         Assist Chefs to plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities ensuring all meets the highest quality standards
·         Assist the Chefs with designing menus and plating presentation
·         Assist Chefs to estimate food requirements and may estimate food and labour costs
·         Supervise activities of cooks & dishwashers
·         Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs
·         Train kitchen staff
·         May prepare and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions.

REQUIREMENTS:
·         Minimum 3 years’ experience in similar position, including 1 year of supervising kitchen team
·         In-depth knowledge of food principles & best practices
·         Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment
·         Ability to communicate in English
·         Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
·         Food Safe or Safe Food Handling within 2 weeks of employment
