Job Duties: 

1. Operate dishwashers or hand-wash to clean dishes, glassware, and flatware
2. Wash, sanitize, and store items such as dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units
3. Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs to ensure a welcoming dining environment
4. Assist in packaging take-out food orders and receive and process customer orders with courtesy and efficiency
5. Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruits, sharpen kitchen knives as needed
6. Portion and wrap foods according to established guidelines
7. Keep records of food quantities used to assist with inventory management, handle and store cleaning products safely
8. Maintain a clean and sanitized kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, appliances, and equipment
9. Receive, unpack, and store supplies in designated storage areas, stock refrigerators, salad bars, and storage areas with ingredients and supplies
10. Sweep, mop, wash, and polish kitchen floors to maintain a safe and clean workspace
11. Handle garbage and trash in a hygienic and environmentally responsible manner, following waste disposal guidelines and local regulations

Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
2. Previous experience in a kitchen environment is a plus but not required.
3. This role operates in a fast-paced kitchen environment where efficiency and attention to detail are crucial.
4. Occasionally, this position may require overtime hours, especially during peak business periods and special events.
5. The job involves physically demanding tasks such as lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods.
6. You must be able to work effectively under pressure, especially during busy service hours.
7. A strong focus on customer satisfaction and the ability to interact with clients in a friendly and professional manner.
8. Collaboration and effective communication with other team members are essential for a harmonious kitchen environment.
