VCATIP is investing in automated indoor farming solutions which will allow farmers to grow tropical vegetables in Canada all year round. Our company believes this system will not only be of interest to urban Canadian farmers in general who wish to grow vegetables in harsh Canadian climate all year round, but also be of particular interest to Canadian farmers of Vietnamese background, who will be able to grow vegetables native to Vietnam that are not otherwise available in Canada. The solution is integrated from a Hydroponic indoor farming system, LED lighting system, Solar energy system, Automation control and information technology (IT) systems.
To cope with demands of business expansion, VCATIP is now looking for the right candidates to fill the TECHNICAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE (Job reference number: NOC 6221) position.

Main duties
- Participate in product development processes to understand product’s functions, features and limits.
- Identify and solicit potential clients for VCATIP indoor farming solutions
- Maintain and grow sales relationships with existing clients
- Assess clients' needs, recommend or assist in the selection of appropriate components and/or version of VCATIP indoor farming system and/or services, and negotiate prices or other sales terms
- Provide input into product design to continuously improve client satisfaction and to make product suit clients' needs
- Develop sales presentations, proposals, or other materials to illustrate benefits from use of VCATIP indoor farming system and service
- Estimate costs of installing and maintaining equipment and service
- Prepare and administer sales contracts and maintain customer records
- Consult with clients after sale to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support
- Troubleshoot technical problems related to VCATIP indoor farming system
- Develop and maintain technical product or service knowledge to explain features to clients and answer questions about VCATIP indoor farming system and services
- Develop, implement and report on marketing plans and sales strategies to achieve business goals
- Assess market conditions and competitors' activities and develop an awareness of emerging markets and trends
- Offer training in the operation and maintenance of VCATIP indoor farming system

Employment requirements
A master degree in one of the following fields:
- Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA),
- Electronics and Telecommunications.
- Information Communication Technology (ICT),
- Automation control
is required.

At least 15 years experience in one of the above listed fields and at least 7 years experience in sales of technology products or services is required.
Strong communication, sales and negotiation skills
Good knowledge of CEA, hydroponic, LED, solar and information technologies.
Minimum English level of IELTS 6 (general) or equivalent is required if a university degree is not done in English.
Fluency in Vietnamese language is an advantage.
