Must be able to / willing to travel to and from the USA
Must be available to work early morning, day, evening, night, and weekend
Willing to drive 2-5 or more days away from home each trip

Education:
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Language:
English
Basic knowledge of the English language is sufficient.

Credentials:
Class 1 or A is required
An Air Brake Adjustment Certificate is required

Experience:
2 years to less than 3 years

Type of Trucking:
Dry van / Refrigerated tractor-trailer

Security & Safety:
Criminal record check, medical exam, and drug test required

Primary duties of a Long-Haul Truck Driver are, but are not limited to:
Operate and drive trucks (Dry van / Refrigerated tractor-trailer) to transport goods and materials
Plan trip logistics and obtain required documentation to transport goods
Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections of vehicle systems, equipment, and accessories, including tires, lights, turn signals, brakes, and cold storage.
Ensure cargo is adequately secured in accordance with safety requirements and follow safety procedures.
Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes
Record cargo information, service hours, distance travelled, and fuel consumption.
Administer bills of lading and manually or electronically maintain logbooks
Communicate with the dispatcher, other drivers, and customers using communication devices, onboard computers, and a hands-free cell phone.
Drive as part of a two-person team.
