Wage rate: $34.65 per hour (40-60 hours per week)
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, day, morning, evening, overtime if required.
Education: High School required
Experience: No experienced required. on job training will be provided.
Language: English.
Credentials (certificates, licenses, memberships, courses, etc.): Driver's License (Class 1 or A), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement or an equivalent license in another jurisdiction.

Job Duties:
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
• Loading and unloading of goods.
• Plan travel schedules and routes use atlases and other trip planning aids.
• Receive and relay information to central dispatcher.
• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
• Perform brake adjustments.
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle.
• Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness.

Other: Operate units; hauling freight throughout Canada/U.S. Candidate must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Security and Safety: Valid passport, Driving record check (abstract), Drug test.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Attention to detail, handling heavy loads, Sitting, physically demanding. Candidate should be able to lift weight (50lbs).
