DDB Canada (www.ddb.ca) located at 33 Bloor Street East, M4W 3H1, Toronto has a position for one (1) Digital Content Design Specialist, who will be embedded with a specific pharmaceutical client with a focus on chronic heart failure medication.

Marketing/Advertising duties
Assess characteristics of chronic heart failure medication to determine marketing and advertising needs of the manufacturer.
Advise manufacturer on marketing, advertising or sales promotion opportunities and strategies for chronic heart failure medication within North America.
Develop strategies and related content for direct and digital marketing and advertising campaigns and implement them.
Manage post campaign with Meta and curriculum revue team of manufacture to ensure adherence of advertising drug policies.
Prepare or oversee preparation of briefs, storyboards, presentations, web sites, and jobs for drug regulator’s approval.
Use content design technology tool, Assembler.
Prepare brochures, reports, graphics, emails, and other material for healthcare practitioners and healthcare consumers.

Web design duties
Establish design guidelines, standards, and optimal design practices with a larger team.
Designing visual imagery for websites and ensuring that it is consistent with the manufacturer image and pharmaceutical regular standards for black box regulations.
Integrate features and functionalities into web sites.
Create and optimize content for the web site using a variety of graphics, database, animation, and other software.
Test and improve the design of a Web site (AB testing).
Use HTML/CSS and digital media practices.

Graphic Design /Illustrator duties
Consult with content team to establish the overall look, graphic elements, and content of communications materials to meet black box drug regulations of pharmaceutical regulator.
Determine the medium best suited to produce the desired visual effect and the most appropriate vehicle for communication.
Develop the graphic elements that meet the patients' objectives.
Prepare storyboards, layouts, and graphic elements of the subjects to be rendered using traditional tools, multimedia software and image processing, layout, and design software.
Use existing photo and illustration banks and typography guides and manage imagery audits in compliance with requirements of assets librarians at the manufacturer in compliance of black box regulators.
Establish guidelines for illustrators or photographers.
Coordinate all aspects of production for print, audio-visual or electronic materials, such as Web sites and interactive terminals.
Conduct graphic and collaborate with graphic designers or graphic arts technicians.
Complete new business exploration of assets (brochures etc.) based on recommendations of the manufacturer.
Audit all core files, ensure the final file is submitted to the pharmaceutical regulator and uploaded in PromoMats (manufacture’s online portal).
Consult with clients to determine the nature and content of illustrations to meet their communications needs.
Develop and produce realistic or representational sketches and final illustrations, by hand or using computer-assisted design (Adobe Creative Cloud) software, for printed materials such as magazines and packaging.
Assist in developing storyboards for electronic productions such as multimedia, interactive and digital products and television advertising and productions.
Produce 2-D and 3-D animated drawings or computer illustrations.

Education

A university degree in visual arts with specialization in graphic design, commercial art, visual communications, or brand management.

OR

Completion of a college diploma program in graphic arts is required.

Experience/Ability

Must have creative ability and artistic talent as demonstrated by completed projects.
Must be able to perform the duties above, including but not limited to pharmaceutical manufacturer marketing needs.
Training, experience, or strong knowledge of chronic heart failure medication in the pharmaceutical industry.
Must have pharmaceutical advertising experience in the Health Care Practionare (HTC) and Direct To Consumer (DTC)
