Business Development Associate - Calgary

The Business Development Associate position for United States Liability Insurance Company is a permanent outside insurance sales role. Main responsibilities will include driving new business activity from assigned customers and prospecting for new customers.
To successfully accomplish these goals, the selected candidate must have the following skills and attributes:
1. Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in the insurance industry or business equivalent experience
2. Secondary School Completed at a minimum.
3. Driver’s License
4. Speak Fluent English
5. Ability to travel extensively within assigned territory based out of Calgary. Territory includes all of Alberta and British Columbia
6. Ability to demonstrate skills in time management and balancing multiple tasks at once in a fast-paced environment including customer meetings, internal meetings, phone calls, managing our prospect database, and weekly reporting of sales activity.
7. Self-starter with strong dependability/self-structure as this is a remote position.
8. Commitment to work toward completion of General Insurance Essentials Designation (GIE), RPLU, CIP Designations
9. Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
Position responsibilities will include:
1. Cold calling prospective customers
2. Travel including in-person customer meetings.
3. Virtual customer meetings
4. Consistent communication with customers on goals and results
Compensation:
1. Base Salary Range - $70,000 -90,000 CAD
2. Quarterly Bonus based on territory performance.
