Company Description:
Wescon Doors, also known as Wescon Cedar Products, is a family-owned-and-operated door manufacturer located on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, boasting a production area of over 50,000ft2. Our customer range is worldwide, spanning Canadian, American, and Asian markets.
We are looking to hire an individual to work in our door department assembling wooden doors. This role requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Experience in this field is not required, but ideally you will have some experience with power tools and/or woodwork and/or windows and doors and glazing. Training is provided onsite.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assemble wood products such as window sashes, doors, boxes, pallets
• Assemble door panels
• Inspect wood products for conformance to quality standards
• Mark defective parts or products for repair
• Trim, smooth, and shape surfaces
• Make minor adjustments and repairs
Position Requirements:
• Completion of secondary school
• Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in carpentry or woodworking.
