Essential duties

- Inspection of all exterior aspects of residential homes and commercial businesses
- Correct identification of European Fire Ants (myrmica rubra)
- Fire Ant control

- Carpenter Ant Nest Identification
- Carpenter Ant Control
- Bird Prevention & Bird Control Product Installation
- General Insect Identification
- Rodent Entry Point Prevention (roof, attic and crawlspace)
- Pest Clean-up
- Lead Generation for Commercial & Residential Accounts
- Generate Customer Reviews

Terms of employment

Permanent, Full-time position (40+ hours/week).

Expected Employment Start Date: as soon as possible

$30.00/hour

Skills requirements – Education and Work experience

Education:
- High School Diploma
- Post Secondary Degree is an asset
- B.C. Pesticide Applicators License

Work Experience:
- 4 years experience working in a technical role
- 4 years experience working on ladders and at heights
- 4 years working with variety of hand and power tools
- 4 years experience working in a high demand customer service environment
- 3 years heavy machinery operating experience
- 3 year experience in Fire Ant Control
- 3 year experience in Carpenter Ant Control
- 3 year experience in Bird spike and bird net installation
- 3 year experience in Pigeon shooting
- 3 year experience in Wildlife removal
- 3 year experience in Insect Identification

Additional Requirements:
- Good general construction knowledge of homes and multi-unit structures including but not limited to building envelope
- Current boom lift certification
- Current fall arrest certification
- Valid BC driver’s license & clean drivers abstract
- No criminal record
- Always Clean-shaven (required for respirator compliance with WorkSafeBC)
- Very Physically fit & flexible – job requires regular work in attics & crawlspaces
- No issues working all day on a rainy roof
