Fire Sprinkler Fitter (Apprentice)

Job Description -
Fire Sprinkler Fitter cum Apprentice lay out, install, repair, maintain, modify and test fire protection systems in a variety of buildings and settings. They work on various types of fire protection systems, including but not limited with wet, dry and stand pipe.

Job duties and responsibilities-
Assisting crew for the overall blaze and steel works for residential as well as for commercial buildings.
Read drawings and determine layout.
Install clamps, brackets and hangers to support piping system and sprinkler and fire protection equipment, using hand and power tools
Measure, cut, ream and thread pipe, install sprinkler heads and mount prepared pipe in supports
Join pipes and piping sections using soldering
Connect piping system to water mains, supply tanks and control equipment
Installs valves, alarms and associated equipment
Test system for leaks using pressure equipment
Train and Supervise other workers
