Curry and Tandoori Cook and Hakka Cook

12931923 Canada Inc., O/A Zauq Fine Foods, located at 327 Bronte St. S, Milton, Ontario L9T 4A4, is currently seeking to urgently hire:
2 Curry & Tandoori Cooks and 2 Hakka Cooks.

Personal suitability: Must be hardworking, organized, dedicated with time management skills and capable of working in a fast paced environment.

Job Type: Permanent full time positions;

Salary: $37.00 per hour for 30-40 hours per week. Must be available to work in shifts & on weekends;

Overtime: 1.5 times the wage after 44 hours per week;

Experience: 2-3 years proven experience as a cook with knowledge of line of cuisine applying

Language requirement: English;

Education: Secondary (High) School Graduate Certificate;

Job Duties of these positions include:

Plan and implement menus as per restaurant’s style and standards.
Steam, grill, broil, fry and cook fish meat vegetables etc.
Prepare all kinds of curries, tandoori meats, tandoori kebabs and tandoori breads using traditional recipes and spices.
Operate tandoor oven for baking naans, kebabs, and other tandoori items.
Prepare Hakka-style soups, starters, rice, noodles, meats, fish & poultry.
Prepare marinades and sauces for Hakka dishes.
Marinate meats and prepare ingredients as required.
Maintain consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation.
Monitor food quality and freshness.
Come up with creative menu items and side dishes that cater to the Canadian palate.
Portion, arrange and garnish servings.
Maintain proper use of kitchen equipment and gadgets.
Maintain inventory of food supplies and estimate food requirements.
Oversee kitchen operations and supervise kitchen helpers.
Regularly review existing menu for opportunities to improve quality, variety and costs.
Adhere to health and safety procedures and maintain a clean and hygienic work place.
