J’s Asian Kitchen is seeking F/T Cooks.

Position Info:
• Position: Cook
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $20.00~$22.00/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions: 3
• Work Location: 146 Main St, Fredericton, NB E3A 1C8

Benefits:
• 4% vacation pay

Job Duties:
• Make Korean, Thai, Japanese, and Chinese dishes such as following the restaurant’s recipes and menu standards
• Fry tempura, gyoza, spring rolls, and other appetizers to order
• Portion ingredients and finished dishes to the restaurant’s set serving sizes
• Run an assigned kitchen station and coordinate the helpers working at it during service
• Instruct kitchen helpers and staff on food preparation methods and kitchen procedures
• Calculate the food quantities and costs needed for menu items
• Track stock levels of food, supplies, and equipment, update inventory records, and order items when stock runs low
• Sanitize cooking equipment, the kitchen, and work areas during and after each shift

Job requirements:
• Experience: 2-3 years of commercial cooking experience is required
• Education: Completion of secondary school is required
• Language: English
